Language Link is currently seeking an In-house Trainer to join our outreach program – Schools Link.
Schools Link (SL) is Language Link’s highly successful English language education program in Vietnamese schools. We currently have more than 180 foreign English teachers teaching over 32,000 students in Hanoi’s urban districts. Our programs consistently receive high ratings from students and parents. Our Schools Link program caters to Primary, Secondary, and High School students in Hanoi at both public schools and select private school partners.

Working hours and location
- Work hours: Full-time (44 hours/week, Monday–Friday). Weekend work may be required depending on project timelines or training demands.
- Work location: Based at our head office in Cau Giay District, Hanoi, with regular travel to SL partner schools or other training venues.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A minimum of C2-level proficiency in English (according to CEFR). An internationally accepted proficiency exam result may be required for some applicants, in line with Vietnamese work permit regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems) and using digital tools for training delivery and evaluation.
- A Bachelor’s degree or Postgraduate qualification or degree in Education or TESOL/Applied Linguistics (English) would be a preference
- A CELTA (or equivalent) teaching certificate with teaching practicum
- A teacher training qualification or status from a recognized organization such as: Cambridge Train the Trainer, Cambridge CELTA or DELTA tutor, Trinity TESOL tutor, International House tutor, or a postgraduate degree or qualification focusing on teacher training
- At least 3 years’ experience in academic training and management
- At least 3 years’ Young Learner teaching experience (preferably in public schools)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Training Needs Analysis & Planning
- Conduct system-wide Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Develop annual and termly Training Plans for different target groups
- Propose and update KPIs or other or measures of training impact
- Program Development
- Design and update training manuals and online resources.
- Develop structured Train the Trainer programs for Academic Coordinators (AC) and Regional Head Teachers (RHT) to enable them to train, coach, and run professional development workshops and activities for teachers and teaching assistants at partner schools.
- Provide direct training programs and workshops to teachers before and during the school year.
- Ensure course and program design align with the outreach program and its context.
- Support the Academic Manager (AM) and HR in training academic staff on teacher interview techniques and selection criteria aligned with the SL outreach program.
- Develop and implement a plan to prepare and train a pipeline of teachers for premium school partnerships.
- Design post-training follow-up and evaluation mechanisms to measure training effectiveness and teacher readiness for deployment.
- Prepare and deliver workshops for local Vietnamese teachers of English or teaching assistant teams.
- Train RHTs and other academic management members to accurately observe lessons and provide supportive, constructive feedback.
- Liaise with other academic management team members and the Teaching Assistant Management team in organizing workshops and training sessions.
- Be involved in the development, implementation, and revision of effective assessment measures for all levels.
- Advise the Schools Link Director, Academic Manager, and other academic leaders on curriculum development and improvement.
- Participate in workshops for parents, schools, or representatives from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DOET) or MOET when required.
- Be involved in materials and curriculum development projects as needed.
- Source and select appropriate teaching and learning materials for our Primary and Secondary programs.
- Confer regularly in meetings to discuss challenges and propose solutions.
- Contribute to the development of new ESL programs and curricula when required.
- Participate in the development of CEFR-style, IELTS-style, and other standardized student assessments.
- Training Delivery
- Deliver induction, in-service, and refresher training programs
- Collect and evaluate post-training feedback, implementing necessary changes for improvement
- Manage and maintain training resources and databases
- Review and enhance existing training curricula to optimize outcomes
- Assessment and Curriculum Support
- Participate in the design of placement and standardized student assessments
- Provide input on curriculum development and materials selection
- Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate regularly with Academic Manager, TA Management, and SL Director
- Prepare quarterly reports on training outcomes and improvements
- Provide lesson cover or demo classes as needed
